Festivities

This week has flown...
A whirlwind of food, laughter & lots of talking!

Starting out with our Transition Group's Solstice celebration at Cotna.
We loved Sara's holly tree!

As always we all took along food to share...

And enjoyed another wonderful feast...

We toasted the sun with Patrick's Solstice Sloe Gin...

And Sime got his first chance to wear a silly hat!

We put our tree up on the Solstice, a real tree which we saved from being shredded & which will provide wood for our fire when we pull it down...

Christmas morning we finished off our wrapping & waited for the kids to arrive...
(Or in Hugo's case - get up)!

Our first prezzie opening session...

I think we chose well for Asa!

Happy kidlets...

This year we decided to eat in our living room for a change.
Sime remembered that we had an extra table & chairs in the garage (like you do) - which he's been itching to sort out ready for our B&B...

Rose & Asa will be having a second Christmas with Asa's parents over the New Year!

Lupschki loved joining in...

And so did Fleaby - He's always wanting Daddy's attention...

And just in case you've missed our silly mugs...

Sal & Ryan arrived later...

After spending the day with Ryan's folks...

And so it was time for our second prezzie session...

And a chaotic supper...

As usual, we played games & the kids wiped the floor with us, but then later on - we were on the winning team!
(Thanks to Rose & Asa)

Boxing Day leftovers...

We've had a lovely week so far...
And there's more, Dolphin Gig tomorrow, Eden on Friday & a local shindig on Saturday - Looking forward to it all!

  1. Glad you have had a lovely time. Must say you are both looking extremely well. Sime looks as though he has the beginning of a stye in his eye. Mum always used to rub her gold wedding band over the stye on the edge 9 times - that's when I had them and they used to go. Something to do with the gold. Some put it down to an old wives tale but it always seemd to work for me. I have another day at work tomorrow and then off until next Tuesday - hurrah. If I don't pop back before the New Year Celebrations have a happy loving and safe New Year.

    Take care

  2. Hi Pattypan - Sime gets styes a lot & this one has been nasty. Our wedding rings are silver... But I've made him bathe his eye everyday with chamomile tea & it's nearly gone now!

Happy New Year to you too - looking forward to catching up properly soon!
