What A Difference A Day Makes

We seem to have developed a rather nice addiction to walking the coast...

Yesterday turned into a 3 hour trek...

With lots of mud...

Looking back at our hamlet on the right.

First there was one...

Then there were many...

We were heading to the next cove along from ours...

And although it was a beautiful Saturday morning...

There was no one else around...

First glimpse of Vault Beach...

Just cows...

And sheep for company...

Lamledra House & Woodland is ahead...

We always take a bag with us to pick up rubbish, so we must be beach heroes too!

Vault is at the bottom of quite a steep path...

But is well worth the effort...

On arrival there was one woman on her way off the beach.
Can you spot her red hat?

We spent an hour there & had the whole beach to ourselves...

And it was really quite warm sitting in the sun...

A lovely clean beach - the sign must be working!

It felt like we were on a desert island...

Midday sun...

Such a lovely day.
Unlike today, which is wet & cold - time to get the fire in & watch a film...

Happy not so Sun-Day!

  1. Wow what a stunner of a walk. My lab Harry would have been in seventh heaven down on that beech. I see you have many gorse bushes along the way, have you ever tried gorse wine I its quite good.

  2. Thanks Captain Shagrat! We've made tea with the petals, but never made wine - although we do have a recipe & the equipment... That sounds like a good idea!

  7. You know, I can't remember what the weather was like here on Saturday. It was all a bit of a blur, but we did think the countryside was nice as we drove to Mum and Dad's so I guess it was nice. I made soup and bread in the morning to feed my brother-in-law (and the rest of us) for lunch as he came down to visit his mum. Then hubby and I drove down to help my mum with her shopping because she's having trouble walking again.
