Up 'anley Duck

We're quite excited, as on Sunday we're heading north for a few days to visit our folks... Not only will it be great to see everyone, but it's just nice to get away & staying in a hotel always feels like a holiday to us! Hugo's coming with us again, which is lovely & although we have things to sort for Bebe - we'll also be taking her out for a day to meet up with relatives in the Derbyshire town of Bakewell . A town renowned for it's puddings & it's Pride & Prejudice connection! We've had a busy couple of days & tomorrow will be yet another one, so tonight we're going to chill out, eat chocolate & watch  Fantastic Mr Fox  & try to have an early night... See you soon! Kay & Sime xx

Free Time

Hugo's been busy with his Circus Workshop & Cornwall Alternative Teens group over the last couple of days, so we decided to take the two days off work...   Yesterday we were in Falmouth & this headland is called Pendennis Point...  Henry VIII had  Pendennis Castle  built back in 1540 just above the headland, but it's very well hidden! The sea was a lovely colour... This is the lookout for the castle... Some years ago, Sime & the kids saw seals in the sea here, but there weren't any yesterday! The village across the water is St Mawes & another of Henry VIII's castles  is just on the left. We think the large sailing boat is one of the  Tall Ships Of Charlestown , we see them quite often near to where we live.  The speed boat looked like it should be moored in St Tropez!   Lots of activity & that's  St Anthony's Lighthouse  on the right. The day was finished off with a treat... Says it all... Today we ventured over to the North Coast...

This Is The Girl...

Who was born 23 years ago today... And turned our lives upside down... This is the girl... Who made us a very tired, but happy family... This is the girl... Who is still as cheeky & cute... This is the girl... Who has always been independent...  Especially where food's concerned! This is the girl... Who shares a special bond with her siblings... And this is the boy... Who swept her off her feet over 5 years ago... Happy Birthday!!! Sallnessnessy - We love you Beautiful Girlie! Love from your old Ma & Pa ♥ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ♥

The Future Is Bright

We've had yet another full on weekend... Lots of properties to prepare for guests & lots of rubbish left behind by previous guests to clear up... The last 4 days have been incredibly busy & we just can't believe how much work we have! On top of all this - The Dolphins Fly had their gig at The Eden Cafe. Soundcheck... All ready to go... Very nice free food... Then the gig began... And ended... We met with a very good friend last night & this friend is going to be working with us soon...  Phew, at last we have found a perfect solution to our hectic work schedule & our friend will have a new income.  We have worked together before, so we know that this step is a good one - exciting times ahead!!! Here's to an easier life, a great working relationship, fun, laughter & lots of good times... Cheers! Kay & Sime xx

We've Got The Blues

We're hoping that tomorrow will run smoothly, as it's the BIG day for Sime & the band... But first we'll have several properties to clean, so the pressure is on! Today - we have worked for nearly 10 hours, yesterday was pretty much the same & it just seems that the crazy season has arrived early this year! It's been half term this week & everywhere has been packed... It seems that every journey has taken forever with all the extra vehicles around.  Our hamlet has been busy with folks staying at the camp site & hostel, lots of people stopping & looking into the house from morning until night. Families walking down to the beach early in the morning & teenagers coming up from the beach late at night. All of them making lots of noise & not giving any thought to the people whose lives they are disrupting. Even the kitties don't like the intrusion... Fleaby & Lupschki watch the road from a safe distance! There has been one consolation t
