Just Humans Being...

Sunday's weather was pretty awful here... It rained on & off throughout the day, so we enjoyed a quiet time at home by the woodburner. It was also our last day of freedom for a while, so it was nice to just chill out. The rain stopped by 8pm, so as Bebe wasn't here - we enjoyed a walk down towards the beach. This is the view from the first stile, which is just 5 minutes from our door... And this is from the second stile, just further down the lane. We stood & watched the sea for a while... And headed back up the lane when the rain started again. We didn't see anyone else - which was nice! Monday was the first time in 3 weeks that we were unable to do any rewilding, we had a serious problem at work which took time to sort & the aftermath continued throughout our evening, on top of this - Bebe returned home from respite, so it was chaotic!               We managed to get another day out today... No cleaning on a Saturday is just wonderful, so we fed our guests this morning & set off for Porthleven near Helston - where Hugo was helping to run a circus workshop. Hope you're all having this beautiful weather! Kay & Sime xx

It's actually been warm enough to eat breakfast outside... Yippee!  We just want to make the most of the sunshine - though do have a huge house clean to do today. A clean that I really am not keen on, but Sime thinks we should continue with...   And just because we're totally insane, we're going to meet a potentially new customer in a few minutes. A gorgeous view (in my opinion) through our rather grubby dining room window! Sime's finally hacking back the poor lilies. Gloopy porridge for brekkie... And a cuddly kitty loving the sunshine... They both love us being outside with them... We've got dandelions everywhere, which I'm hoping our lovely landlord won't mow down before we get a chance to pick them - he thinks he's helping us out by keeping the gras

We can't remember the last time we woke naturally... It must have been weeks ago, so Sunday morning (well actually we didn't get up until 1pm) was extra special! We had such a lazy day...  And no Ryan, it wasn't beer for breakfast... It was nettle tea! Sime got the wood burner in as it was a bit chilly & of course, kitties got priority in the seating. A very excited Sime found his favourite drink on special offer last week. And I have to put up with a camera appearing in my face... This is all before the bottle was opened! Today (Tuesday) was the hottest day of the year so far... And we had lunch out in the garden for the first time! A lovely treat in between jobs... Another sneaky photo...  Sime was making me cry with laughter, he's so naughty & does it all the time... He just carries on until you feel like you can no longer breathe & often ends (as it did for Hugo yesterday) in having to spit out

We've had lovely warm sunshine today. It's been an absolute pleasure spending the day in such beautiful surroundings & we never take any of it for granted...  We may work incredibly hard, but it beats being employed in social care. It's days like today, that make us realise how lucky we are to be here, to have taken the opportunities that came our way & not only feel satisfied that we did make the right decisions, but are continuing to do so. We are filled with excitement about the changes we are making business wise & feel it's going to be a great year! Today has been a beautiful day... View from our garden. Sunset was around 6.30pm here today. Our clocks go forward tonight, so the sun will be setting after 7.30pm... Yippee! The daffs are on their last legs... The kitties love us being in the garden... Beautiful Fleaby! We've got quite a bit of tidying up to do... We've been surprised to see garlic growing from being planted 2 years ago... Lupe by the computer again... Sime engrossed... Tired me... It's been a long week! Our unplugged day tomorrow - I'm hoping to get some crocheting done, we also want to go nettle gathering... Though we still have guests to look after, so we shall see! We actually have 4 days off cleaning work - which is nice... We fell in love with this song, which is the theme tune from the French film, Paris - Seize The Day by Wax Tailor. It feels spring like... Jubilee Wharf , a set on Flickr. Yesterday it was cold, but sunny & we had to take Hugo to a circus meeting at Jubilee Wharf . Normally, we would relish popping into Miss Peapod's , but in our quest to save money, we refrained... We did manage to call on Rose & Asa - we got to see their "Pot Of Gold" which they have started for our family holiday next year. We also briefly caught up with Sal, who was working, but nice to get the chance to say hello... Last night, we had the coldest night since last winter, so we slept in long johns & thermal tops... We even had to get up & find an extra blanket. Must have been the clear sky! Cold again tonight & although it's not nice, we all agree that the wood burner has made a massive difference - it's just wonderful! Kay & Sime xx
