The owners are lovely people & they've missed Sime's silly comments in their visitor's book - as we haven't visited for 2 years... But he made up for it by writing lots!!!

Seeing Scarlet & family again tomorrow - they are bravely getting the full Smith clan treatment...

Wonder if they know what they are letting themselves in for?

    Lovely blue skies! I LOVE the photo with the blue flowers in the foreground (can't remember what they're called now, the ones on that big shrub!) We had sunshine today for the first time in weeks..yey! Did some hoeing in the garden!

    It all looks gorgeous, I love the round houses. Do they have crosses on the top to stop witches landing on the roofs? (I'm sure I read that somewhere).

      There are 5 of them altogether. They were built by Reverend Trist for his daughters & we've been told the reason for them being round, was so the devil couldn't hide in any corners! The crosses are probably for extra protection...

Some of you know about my fight with Graves Disease, an auto immune system disorder, which causes an overactive thyroid. Since I was diagnosed 7 years ago, I have made it my business to know everything I possibly could about the condition & this has probably saved my life. Our Neighbours

The ladies next door have been giving birth in the field. Their babies are like any other babies - they sleep, they feed, they follow their mums everywhere, they run around, then fall asleep again.  These little beauties are completely unaware of their fate... But we know... And this is one thing which makes living here difficult. How can people eat other beings without feeling terrible?     It just doesn't make sense. Our garden yesterday. Tall Nettles TALL nettles cover up, as they have done These many springs, the rusty harrow, the plough Long worn out, and the roller made of stone: Only the elm butt tops the nettles now.
