La Luna

On Monday, we enjoyed a get-together with lovely friends.
We shared delicious vegan food, most of which we forgot to photograph...
We had Sheila's delicious butternut squash curry, Magie's home made seedy bread, our rice & roasted buckwheat burgers.

I remembered to get the camera out for dessert.
Magie isn't vegan or veggie, but she especially made this vegan "Apple Crisp" for the first time.

It was so good & we were thrilled when she said we could take the leftovers!

We had a lovely evening overlooking the sea & Portmellon Bay.

And the moon was beautiful... Especially through Patrick's telescope!

Sime tried zooming in.

Talking of the moon always makes me think of this...

Which I better dedicate to Sime, who has missed out (through no fault of his own - other than being a musician who has to practice) on the last piece of Magie's pud!

Sorry... I'll make it up to you ♥

Tomorrow, we have to clean the house & prepare 2 or maybe 3 courses for some lovely folk coming for lunch... I told Sime I'd get prepared tonight & guess what? I haven't done a thing...
Hopeless. Case.

I'm sure it will all come together tomorrow!

Night, night.

  1. I like this song, but sung by Van Morrison.

The best moon song ever? Blue Moon by The Marcels http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qu4OkmzqK2E

It never fails to bring a big smile to my face when I hear it!

  4. Kath - Neither of us are Van Morrison fans, but I do love this song & VM's version is the only song of his I like... But for Sime, who's not even a fan of the song... He will tolerate Georgie Fame & me singing along! Blue Moon reminds me of Grease, don't even know if it's in the film...

    Catherine - Thank you!

Molly - We did have a lovely, as we always do & the dessert was so good... We'll definitely try making it at home!
