Three houses to clean tomorrow & two more on Saturday, then we've got 2 days off...
Yippee!
We're managing to get everything done, although it's tiring - so we're just working, eating & sleeping!
My birthday in Fowey was a lovely break, but we were both quite tired...
This is a great bus stop outside of the town...
Fowey is pronounced "Foy".
Walking down from the car park...
It's quite a steep walk.
We love old telephones - my Nan & granddad had a Bakelite phone & we have a a 746 phone.
Quirky window display...
The King of Prussia has gone pink!
Fowey harbour...
The village over the water is Polruan...
The sea was really clear...
We decided to walk to the other end of the town...
RNLI lifeboat...
Ducks again...
The car ferry which goes between Fowey & Bodinnick...
On impulse we decided to catch the ferry...
Oh dear - droopy drawers & unbrushed hair.
Can't believe Sime took this one!
And onto the ferry...
Bodinnick
The house to the right of the slipway is where Daphne Du Maurier lived & wrote some of her novels...
Looking back to Fowey
Another steep road!
The Ferryboat Inn garden anchor...
The Ferryboat Inn...
A happy chappy...
We visited Pinky Murphy's in Fowey for lunch...
Where they made us a vegan feast of houmous, butter bean & mint pate, sweet chili sauce, olives, sun-dried tomatoes & salad...
Ciabatta & granary toast...
After eating we walked on the beach next to the harbour as the tide was going out...
This is where the water taxi to Polruan goes from...
Fowey has some lovely shops...
And the tallest steeple in Cornwall, apparently!
The castle to the left has been privately owned since the 1300s...
The castle entrance...
We had a lovely day of mooching & walking!
And now it's bed time...
We've had yet another busy day, but did manage to catch some sun earlier (I'm actually burnt)!
Bye for now & will try to catch up with everyone soon.
Kay & Sime xx

I think you needed that beautiful lunch to give you the energy to climb up those lanes.
Glad you had a wonderful birthday.
Sft x
Loving the look of your lunch and I just adore Pinky Murphy's, it looks like someone's front room :-D
I'm pleased you had such a nice time, smashing weather and a chance to kick back for a while before work gets really busy.
