Rose & Sal both live in Falmouth with their boyfriends.

We dropped Hugo off at the home ed group in Truro, where it was wet & windy...

And arrived in Falmouth in time for some lovely sunshine...

This is our favourite town centre street...

The Natural Store is one of our favourite shops - well, it's actually 2 shops now.
The first one sells groceries & the second sells supplements & has a deli...

There are lots of independent shops here...

And they are all pretty funky...

Something for everyone too...

Jam is our favourite music shop.
We haven't actually bought anything from them since purchasing our first Ani Difranco CD in 2004!
 But we do like going in to browse...

Vintage clothing...

 Antiques...

Stones make delicious organic bread...

We always wonder if anyone actually goes in to buy braces...

That's Marty Luck-Skull  in the forefront.
 We bought him in a voodoo shop in New Hope, Pennsylvania in 2000.
Marty was the manager of the hotel we were staying in & we thought it was a really great American name - even for a voodoo skull!
He used to have a thick mop of hair, but is now growing old gracefully.
Most people don't like him (he has an unusual face), but we all love him & he always travels with us - wherever we go!

We've loved seeing our girlies today & have really enjoyed catching up...
We do miss them, but know that they are both very happy & that makes us happy too!

    Your girls are beautiful. So nice for you to spend some time together. I want a voodoo skull for my car. That would be the talk of the town!!

    Lovely to see a town centre not filled with all the usual chain stores. Local independent shops are so much more unique and fun.

    Dreamer - Falmouth is pretty good for independent shops - it does have a few of the usual chain stores, but the uni brings lots of arty people to the town. The girls love it.

    Gorgeous girls! Thanks for the tour of Falmouth. I'm sure we've been there - does it have lots of book shops? We went somewhere that had lots of bookshops when we were on holiday before I started college in 2005. One bookseller gave me my copy of Twelfth Night for nothing!

    Thanks Scarlet - can't think of any town in Cornwall with lots of bookshops. Falmouth & Truro probably have 3 each... Always nice to get a freebie - we bought a few books from a lovely bookshop in Caernarfon, Wales last year & they gave us lots of discount & free coffee - which was nice too!

Some of you know about my fight with Graves Disease, an auto immune system disorder, which causes an overactive thyroid. Since I was diagnosed 7 years ago, I have made it my business to know everything I possibly could about the condition & this has probably saved my life. Our Neighbours

The ladies next door have been giving birth in the field. Their babies are like any other babies - they sleep, they feed, they follow their mums everywhere, they run around, then fall asleep again.  These little beauties are completely unaware of their fate... But we know... And this is one thing which makes living here difficult. How can people eat other beings without feeling terrible?     It just doesn't make sense. Our garden yesterday.
