Three Peas In A Pod

Hugo had a meeting at the circus school today, so we decided to all go because it's near to where the girlies both live & we were able to organise a breakfast meet-up!

This morning at Jubilee Wharf...

The entrance to Miss Peapod's has been decorated.

The Smithlets

Vegan brekkie, which was really good.
Just a shame we'd forgotten to ask them to not put margarine on our toast...

The view from our dining room around 5pm today...
Can you see the lone daff?
Linking up with Jane at The Maple Syrup Mob.

Daffs in the garden.

Fam 5

Poor Rose isn't well, but so glad we managed to see her & give her lots of hugs.

Sime's tooth saga continues... Looks like he may have to return to the dentist tomorrow!

We have more guests arriving tomorrow, so lots to do... As usual!

Bye for now,

Kay & Sime

A Daffodil...there IS life!!!!!
I'm just loving all the green I get to see from your windows.
Sime has my sympathy...I'm sick to death of dentists.

It's so green there, and a flower!?! I'm starting to get pretty bad cabin fever with this winter.

Has Sime been able to eat okay? Mouth pain is so horrendous. :(

I hope all is well with the both of you and all your family. Looking forward to your next post - no pressure, but it is an unusually long gap between posts for you.
Sorry for not replying sooner & Karin - thanks for your concern... We're fine, Sime's pretty much back to normal & Rose is doing ok, but we're just incredibly busy with work during the day & have had back-to-back B&B guests for the last 3 weeks, so there's been breakfasts & evening meals to dish up - Absolutely loving it though! Hope to get around to blogging soon...

Top Of The World

It's my lovely wife's 45th birthday today and it's great to see her having such a nice time.  We had a bit of a lie-in, then Kay said that she'd like to go to the new Eden Project Cafe in St. Austell for breakfast.
Having dined there recently, we were aware of their "Book Swap" area.  Choose a book from home you wish to donate, write a brief piece in the inside cover and put it in the Swap Section. Then, if there's a book you fancy, take it home. Kay donated her favourite book "The Complete SAS Guide to Interrogation Techniques". I made that up. She actually donated the wonderful book "The Tibetan Book Of Living and Dying" by Sogyal Rinpoche, only because the last page is missing. Just joking. It was in pristine condition . I suggested selling it at a car boot sale instead but  then she gave me one of her famous looks and I shut up. Kay wrote in the cover about how good the book is and how she hoped that whomever took it would find …

Last Night...

It's always nice to get-together with all the kids...
It's also very rare!
But last night we managed to all see the old man's band play...
Which was a nice thing to do, though I have to admit - I really didn't like the pub! There were certainly a few characters around.  Being country bumpkins - a Friday night in a large town centre pub isn't really my idea of a good time & I just found myself feeling very uncomfortable in that environment, just so glad the kids were there too!
There wasn't any trouble, but it felt like there could have been at any time!
The band played well, but only the landlady of the pub seemed to really appreciate them. Such a shame for great musicians to play to a disinterested crowd, but that's the way it goes...  I suppose these experiences will only spur the guys on to get what they really want & take a step up to the next level - where they deserve to be!  Here's a video of them performing California from last night.

Bye for now. …

Lights Out!

Just 4 weeks to go until this year's Earth Hour.
Here's the link to join in: Sign Up For Earth Hour.
We'll have friends staying, so a candlelit meal will definitely be on the cards...

What do you have planned?
