Hungry For Change

If you consume a lot of processed foods then please watch this film:

It's only available to watch for just over 24 hours, so don't miss it.

Jason Vale is in the film, he is the author of several juicing books...

I first came across this book in St Austell library & the juices are fantastic.

We go through phases of juicing lots & then not at all, but we love drinking fresh vegetable juices - though we hate the waste... We do compost it & have tried simmering the pulp & using the liquid as stock, but it tastes odd to us.

I've been very interested in raw foods since the 90s, when I came across a Leslie Kenton book in a charity shop. We started drinking juices with either spirulina or wheatgrass twice a day, but we've never fully embraced a raw diet - we love our cooked food too much! Though I do believe that raw organic vegan food is the best way to heal the body.

From the same charity shop, again in the early 90s - I bought my first & favourite vegan recipe book...

It's covered in ingredients & is falling apart...

I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to eat better & learn more about cooking whole grains & pulses (legumes). The recipes are simple to follow & it's all just good wholesome grub. There are charts for grain cooking & sprouting, lots of nutritional advice & I've used the book hundreds of times!
I especially love the roast recipes & there's lots of them... Nut roasts, bean roasts, lentils, tofu...

Anyway, don't forget to watch the film:

They discuss not only food, but face creams too & how people spend so much on them, but if you eat healthily - you won't need any face cream...
I used olive or hemp oil on my face for years & when we stopped buying oil - I bought some face cream from the health shop.
It ran out months ago & now I just use soap & water - that's it!

My skin has never felt so good!
(Ignore the chicken neck)

It must be the tablespoon of ground linseeds (flax), hemp & chia seeds we take every day!

Time to go... Sime will be on his way home from a gig & I haven't washed up from dinner yet... Not that he minds, but I do!

Night, night.

Your skin looks terrific! :) I get quite a few comments from people that I look much younger than I am. Such a compliment and I credit my diet!
