Beautiful Film

After my mention of 'Banjo Man', our eldest sent a link to a film about him.

Here's the link: Sal's Blog

Do check it out, it's lovely, happy, but also a bit sad & it made us cry!

I was wrong - he actually plays a mandola, not a mandolin...

Will do a better blog tomorrow... We've had an incredibly lazy day, stayed in bed until 2.30pm, have sore throats from talking for over 5 hours non-stop without food & drink & are ridiculously disorganised!

We just get worse...

Thank you for that. It was beautiful. A lovely portrayal of a local character. But sad too.

Glad you have had a lazy day/weekend helps recharge the batteries.

Take care

Your day sounds wonderful.
I'm not sure I know the difference between a mandola and a mandolin!

Top Of The World

It's my lovely wife's 45th birthday today and it's great to see her having such a nice time.  We had a bit of a lie-in, then Kay said that she'd like to go to the new Eden Project Cafe in St. Austell for breakfast.

Then, if there's a book you fancy, take it home. Kay donated her favourite book "The Complete SAS Guide to Interrogation Techniques". I made that up. She actually donated the wonderful book "The Tibetan Book Of Living and Dying" by Sogyal Rinpoche, only because the last page is missing. Just joking. It was in pristine condition . I suggested selling it at a car boot sale instead but  then she gave me one of her famous looks and I shut up. Kay wrote in the cover about how good the book is and how she hoped that whomever took it would find …

Lights Out!

Just 4 weeks to go until this year's Earth Hour.
Here's the link to join in: Sign Up For Earth Hour.
We'll have friends staying, so a candlelit meal will definitely be on the cards...

What do you have planned?

Simple Ecology

We need to understand that all species are related to each other, all of us have evolved together. The sun heats the soil, the soil feeds the trees, the trees feed the birds, the rain feeds the trees. All beings nourish each other. This is ecology. ~Satish Kumar~
